THE ROLE

About the role

409 Demo is hiring a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator for dirt work, land clearing, site preparation, and demolition support as assigned.

What you'll help with

Safe equipment operation
Safely operate assigned equipment within your training and abilities.
Dirt work & site preparation
Perform clearing, excavation, grading, loading, and material handling as directed.
Work plans & grade instructions
Follow work plans, grade instructions, and directions from designated spotters.
Equipment inspections
Inspect equipment before use and report defects or maintenance needs.
Ground crew communication
Communicate with ground crews and report unsafe or changing site conditions.
Jobsite support
Assist with other site tasks within your abilities when equipment is idle.

What makes a good fit

Hands-on experience operating earthmoving equipment, sound judgment, dependable work habits, and clear communication. Applicants should understand equipment limitations and be able to follow jobsite instructions safely.
